Quantinuum
Trapped-ion · Founded 2021 · Broomfield, CO / Cambridge, UK
Honeywell Quantum Solutions + Cambridge Quantum, merged 2021. The most consistent technical-delivery story in the industry: highest 2-qubit gate fidelity on commercial hardware (Helios: 8×10⁻⁴), all-to-all connectivity, and real logical-qubit demonstrations. Marketing is quieter than IBM/Google, but the numbers are the strongest.

Our verdict
Quantinuum is the technical-execution leader in 2026. Every dated milestone has shipped on or ahead of time, with numbers that beat the announcements. Trapped ions have the fundamental advantage of all-to-all connectivity and long coherence; the open question is scaling — getting to 1,000 logical qubits with photonic interconnect networks is unproven. If any vendor's roadmap deserves the highest trust today, it's this one.
